Booking information

PILATES MAT CLASSES

  • The number of people booked into a class is strictly controlled to ensure everyone gets individual attention
  • Private or shared lessons can be arranged
  • Pilates exercises are very precise and progress along with your own development of strenghth, endurance and stability
  • Individual attention is required to achieve correct positioning so you can gain real results from your pilates workout
  • Bookings are accepted for a block of 6 sessions at a time (£48 for 6)
  • Special rates apply for retirees who attend day time classes
  • If you are new to pilates and are unsure whether you will enjoy this form of exercise, a 'taster' session can be arranged and the class payed for individually before you commit to a block of classes
  • I will ask you to complete a brief booking form prior to starting the course and I ask for a £10 deposit at that point to secure your place in the group which is non refundable
  • The balance of fees is to be paid on the first session. Refunds are not available for missed classes however, I do offer a credit system where missed classes can be made up in any of my classes with prior arrangement.
  • Classes are approximately one hour long
  • Mats, blocks and small equipment will be provided for use in class. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer
  • Please wear close fitting exercise wear and socks for class (no shoes)
  • At present classes are held in Nettleham, Ingham, Fiskerton, Spridlington, Faldingworth Glentworth and Welton.

    CHAIR BASED CLASSES

  • These classes are especially designed for people who have less mobility than standard, or feel uncomfortable laying on the floor for any length of time.
  • Great physical and psychological benefits can be attained in chair based classes. These classes are friendly and informal but at the same time offer important exercise benefits to a group of people who are largely undercatered for in terms of suitable exercise options.
  • Exercises have been especially adapted so that they can be performed sitting on a chair or standing while being supported by the chair.
  • No one is expected to do more than they feel comfortable with.
  • Classes follow the same booking procedure as for mat classes but are charged at £5 per class with a block usually costing £30 (6 classes).

    REFORMER COACHING

  • Reformer coaching is done in the daytime only
  • Reformer coaching is only done on a one to one basis
  • I ask you to complete a brief health questionaire before the first lesson
  • A postural analysis will be performed to asses individual requirements



    Bodies in Balance gift vouchers are available for a block course of pilates and reformer coaching.
